Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet mess (spills or staining) in one go without having to swap out devices. They can also help save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot must be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the simplest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and a quick-start guide will have you up and running with a clean and complete dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. Its mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a range of attachments and brushes, and an intuitive app that lets you select the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you can, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models can't. Its only drawback is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at a high speed, but just a glance at the history of cleaning in the app tells you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.
The docking station comes with a handy LCD screen that displays the need for maintenance for cleaning up debris and cleaning the water tank that is dirty. It also mixes detergent into the tank automatically by using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop can operate for 184 mins in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can last 136 mins in standard mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. You can also view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is clearly laid out and is easy to comprehend although we would have liked to be able to differentiate between a vacuum only or mop and vacuum clean when looking at a clean area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot mop and vacuum. It's not like the model from last year this one has an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to remove small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners could miss.
This Roborock model, just like the other two I tried it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it avoid obstacles such as furniture, walls, and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they are a wall or another surface. It can then change its direction automatically and clean the objects, without missing a step.
It's the most expensive model I've tried, but it also has the most features. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching and comes with three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles up as a child-lock and a home button to take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml tank of water. The water tank is self-emptying, and the bin is auto-filling.
The only drawback I could find to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if necessary), it's a pain to take off the mount itself to wash it manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number clever features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and set up these smart features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, track the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll need to jump through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its innovative design lets users to tailor and effectively clean while reducing time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry debris. It comes with a mop of top quality that cleans hard floors without the use of pads. In addition the X40 is very quiet during operation, only producing occasional squeaks of sound when switching modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.
The X40 has a side brush that is able to be extended and lifted. This lets it reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean curved furniture such as table and chair legs. It can also get under low-profile furnishings which makes it an ideal choice for small apartments or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it spots wet spots. This is a great feature that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through repeated back-and-forth movements.
In contrast to other robots that only focus on one thing, the X40 can perform both vacuuming and mopping simultaneously or individually. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas, and vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and understand The X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see floor plans and mapping and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it is finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features that make it a great choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, and refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It also can detect whether the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and notify you of the situation prior to it bursting.
4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive models available and comes with a lot of extra features that make it stand out. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It utilizes two mops that are high-speed to clean floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can vacuum up pet hair and other small dirt particles - in addition to removing spills and wet spots.
robot vacuum cleaners reviews are cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This is beneficial because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen before on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great way to keep your home cleaner longer.
There's a plethora of settings on offer which include the ability to schedule cleaning and alter a variety of preferences. They can be set through the app or buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and offers many options for customising the cleaning process, and there are many features that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles rather than using a manual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on the market, with metallic and white design that is elegant and stylish. It's a bit heavier than the other two-in-1 robots on this list, at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and is sturdy and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mops work well on hard floors as well as in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
